Hi crafters! I’m here today with a fun birthday shaker card with products mostly from Studio Katia. I adore Studio Katia dies. They’re so unique and elegant. I own a ton of their shape dies and they’re wonderful. The Shaker Balloon is no exception in its detailing
As there were three products I wanted to use, I decided to make a long card to support the stamps, stencils, and shaker die. Because I was going to use mostly Distress Oxide inks I decided to go with Bristol Smooth paper and cut two panels to 9″ x 4″.
I wanted to use two stencils, so I knew I needed to mask one of them. To prep, I used the Studio Katia Party Balloons stencil to trace a balloon on 7 full-stick Post-its and cut out the balloon. I then used the Studio Katia Shaker Balloon die to cut the ballon out before inking.
I taped off the other balloons on the Party Balloons stencil and then began to ink balloons on the background. After, I masked the balloons and then used the Simon Says Stamp Clouds for Days stencil to complete the background.

I stamped the large birthday sentiment from the Studio Katia It’s Your Birthday stamp set in Versafine Clair Morning Mist ink and immediately heat embossed with clear embossing powder.
Using Judikins Windows Plastic, I glued a piece to the back of the panel and outlined the shaker window with a double layer of foam tape (I remembered to powder this time!!) and then finished taping the rest of the card. In the ballon reservoir I added a good amount of Studio Katia Pastel Rainbow Confetti, pulled off the backing to the tape, and applied the second 9″ x 4″ Bristol Smooth cardstock I cut earlier.
To finish off the design I cut three bows from the die set in Gina K Innocent Pink and glued it to the card, used a white gel pen to give the balloons highlights, and drew balloon strings with a gray fineliner.
The panel was applied to a 9″ x 4″ Neenah Solar White #110 card base.
