Boo! I cannot get enough of this set. Between the stamps and coordinating dies you can get so many projects out of it. Today, I’m sharing another Halloween card made with the Pretty Pink Posh Boo stamp set. And, it’s another masking technique, which should be no surprise. Masking is my jam apparently.
For this card I used all the icons from the Boo stamp set and stamped them on a full-stick Post-It pad. I pulled 5 sheets of the Post-it pad off and cut out masks. (Be careful. when you have that many sheets they can shift while you’re cutting. Use your best Kung Fu death grip). I stamped the icons randomly on a 4.25″ x 5.5″ panel of Strathmore Bristol Smooth Cardstock and colored them all with Copic warm grays.
After coloring, I applied the mask on each icon (minus the spider. I wasn’t even about to try to cut out those legs and I knew I could draken it up with a black fineliner after inking.
I used Distress Oxide inks in Seedless Preserves, Barn Door, Spiced Marmalade, and Fossilized Amber with a blending brush and inked over the masks.
I adhered the card to a cardbase and then on black cardstock I white heat embossed the sentiment from the set, cut it down and also cut down a slightly larger piece of white cardstock.
I embellished with bits of white gel pen and Glossy Accents on the skull’s eyes.
