Yippee!! STAMPtember is here! Welcome to the party! It’s that coveted time of year where us crafters go a little nuts with the purchases and begin to feel bad for the postal workers who have to run up and down three flights of stairs to continuously deliver packages. Just me? OK. The best part is that by the time the packages arrive you forgot exactly what you ordered, so it’s like the thrill of a release all over again!
Let’s talk STAMPtember 2019! It’s here and Simon has dropped another incredible release, though it’s fair to say there’s enough product for three releases and there’s more to come.

Winter Floral Background Stamp
For my card I used the gorgeous SSS Winter Floral Mix background stamp. At first I tried watercolor, but quickly realized my watercolor skills were nowhere near advanced enough for something this abstract. I should have posted the quarter-way done train wreck for a giggle, but I’m determined to try again and stop overthinking it.
For the background I blended 3 colors from Hero Arts (Cotton Candy, Pale Tomato, and Raspberry Jam). I then used Distress Ink in Black Soot to lightly deepen the edges. I love rich berry colors for the holidays.
I then used the stamp and Hero Arts Gold embossing powder on the inked background. For the larger sentiment I die cut with a set from a prior SSS release, the CZ Design Merry Dies. The background is white cardstock and I gold heat embossed the word merry.
Lastly, I white heat embossed a sentiment from a prior SSS release — SSS Tiny Words Christmas stamp set. I embellished with gold pearls and attached the panel onto a 4.25″ x 5.5″ card base using Neenah Solar White cardstock 110#.
