SugarPea Designs – September Sweet Peek Week Day 5

It’s release day! Welcome to the final day of the Sweet Peek Week blog hop for SugarPea Designs‘ September release. I hope you’ve enjoyed all of the peeks into this wonderful release. Products will be available in store at 6PM EDT tonight. If you haven’t already, follow along the blog hop and comment for a chance to win.

For my final card of the peek I am showcasing one of the several adorable critters from the SPD Christmas Characters SugarCuts.

To begin, I die cut all of the pieces for the Penguin from various colors of cardstock.

Cardstock colors: PTI Royal Velvet, Lawn Fawn Fake Tan, MFT Whipped Cream, Altenew Rouge, PTI True Black, PTI Tropical Teal, PTI Berry Sorbet.

Once I pieced the penguin together, I die cut the SPD Treescape SugarCut (prior release) on white cardstock. Then, I used a panel of Altenew Rouge cardstock and inked using Altenew Pink Pearl ink with the SPD Geo Snowflake stencil.

I assembled the card and then white heat embossed a sentiment from the SPD Everyday Sentiments stamp set (prior release) on PTI Tropical Teal cardstock. I embellished using PPP Metallic Silver Jewels.

Be sure to leave a comment along the blog hop by September 14th and you’ll have a chance to win one of five giveaways. Winners will be announced on Sunday, September 15th. Check out the SugarPea Designs blog for details.

  1. On my he is so cute and in my favorite color-purple!!! It looks like you made him able to hang and this is a fantastic idea to give to someone who loves penguins or to put on the tree! Or display elsewhere. So cute!
