It’s day 2 of SugarPea Designs Sweet Peek Week! All week the design team is featuring creations using the new December release! Follow along the blog hop for a chance to win a gift certificate to the store!
Today’s card uses the adorable SPD For Pugs Sake stamp set. If you follow my blog you know I’m a huge dog nut, and anything dog is OK by me. This sweet pug is floating away on a balloon
Product links will not work until release day, December 13, 2019. 6PM EST
I began by stamping the pug stamp and coordinating stamps onto a panel of white cardstock. Then I stamped them onto masking paper and cut out the stamped images. I used Copic markers to color the scene.
Copic | V17, V15, V12, RV02, RV00 (Balloon). E74, E71, E70, E40, E50, W7, W5, W10, R14 (Pug). G46, G43, G40 (Grass).
After coloring, I applied the mask to the colored images and used Post-It tape to create a border around the card panel. I then used Distress Oxide Inks in Pumice Stone and Tumbled Glass to ink the background and removed the mask.
Lastly, I white heat embossed a sentiment from the stamp set onto black cardstock, adhered it to the panel, and then adhered the panel to a white card base.
