Clearly Besotted – Christmas Corners

Hello, crafters! Today I’m sharing a card I made using the Clearly Besotted Christmas Corners stamp set. I adore their illustrations and these little mice dangling from holiday garland is no exception!

I used a combination of Copic markers and Distress Oxide inks to make the card. To begin, I stamped the mice on a panel of Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80# cardstock. Before removing the stamps from the MISTI, I stamped them again on masking paper. I used many Copic to color the scene:

Greens: G28, G14, YG13, YG21. Reds: R59, R29, R35, R22, R20. Blue-Greens: BG09, BG05, BG13, BG11. Yellows: Y28, YR23, Y23, Y04. Grays: W7, W5, W3, W1.

After coloring, I applied the masks I cut out and ink blended the background using Distress Oxide Inks in Abandoned Coral, Candied Apple, Aged and Mahogany. Next, I applied the Clearly Besotted Basic Diagonals II stencil on top and lightly inked over the background again. I set the card aside for a few hours to let the background dry because I knew I wanted to heat emboss the sentiment.

After it was dry, I stamped the sentiment in Versafine Onyx Black ink and then added clear embossing powder to it before heat setting it.

To finish, I trimmed a bit off of the sides and adhered it to a white card base. I then accented using a white gel pen, and adhered some Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins to the card.
