Pretty Pink Posh – Happy New Year

Seems fitting to close my cards for 2019 with one ushering in 2020. I hope everyone’s year has been a good one and I wish everyone happiness in the year to come.

For this card I used the PPP Happy New Year stamp set, and the PPP Fireworks stencil. To begin, I stamped the champagne bottle on white cardstock and colored with Copic markers.

Bottle: T8, G29, G17, YG23, YG21. Bottle neck and cork: E35, E33, Y26, Y23. Reds: R29, R37, R35. Hat: T9, T7, T5, T3.

I cut 2 masks of the champagne bottle. The first one was to mask out the bottle leaving the bottle’s label exposed. I then used the small top hat to stamp on the label. After, I cut out the second mask so that I could ink a background. After masking, I used 3M Post-It tape to section off the area of the background I wanted to color.

I used Distress Oxides in Black Soot, Chipped Sapphire, and Seedless Preserves on the background and used a heat tool to set it. After using an antistatic powder bag I applied the PPP Fireworks stencil on top of the masked background and used White Unicorn pigment ink from Hero Arts to ink the fireworks. I then used another ink blending tool to use apply a bit of Versamark ink. I removed the stencil (but left all of the masking on…it leaves a sticky residue that will catch all of the embossing powder), and added some Hero Arts clear embossing powder.

Lastly, I stamped a sentiment in Versafine Onyx Black Ink and embellished with PPP Metallic Silver Jewels.
