In honor of Pretty Pink Posh’s 6th birthday, I created a birthday card using the new Birthday Borders stamp set. Such a fantastic set for when you want to play with your markers or other mediums to color.
To begin, I used the presents border stamp from the set and stamped it several times on a panel of Neenah Solar White 80# cardstock using Gina K Amalgam Ink in Obsidian.
Then begins the coloring. I first colored the background with Copic G000 and then the presents using:
Copic: R20, R22, Y11, Y13, YG01, YG11, BG11, BG32, BG13, W1, W3, W5, and W7.
After coloring I set aside the panel and chose a sentiment from the PPP Party Friends stamp set and white heat embossed it onto Lawn Fawn Peacock cardstock using Brutus Monroe embossing powder in Alabaster. I trimmed the heat embossed sentiment as well as a mat in white cardstock and glued to the colored panel.
After, I used foam tape from Scrapbook.com to pop up the panel onto a white card base. To finish the card, I used Glossy Accents on all of the polka dots.
