Hello crafty friends. One can never have enough birthday cards on hand and today I’m sharing a fun one featuring Pretty Pink Posh products.
To begin I used a panel of Gina K Lemon Drop cardstock to ink blend Distress Oxide inks on it using the PPP Birthday Background stencil. After ink blending I used shimmer spray before removing the stencil and set aside.
Distress Oxides: Mustard Seed, Wild Honey, and Spiced Marmalade
On piece of white cardstock I stamped the cute koala using Gina K Whisper ink. I wanted to use colored pencils, but first used some light Copic markers to map out my background colors and shadows.
Copic: Koala W0, W2. Cake BG10. Cake trim R11. Candles and cake stand: YR30, YR31, Y11, Y21.
Next, I grabbed a bunch of Prismacolor pencils and colored the stamp.
Prismacolor: Koala 1083, 1070, 1072. Cake 992, 905, 105. Cake trim 928, 122, 925. Flame 1032, 1003. Candle bases and cake stand 1012, 1003, 1033.
After coloring, I die cut the stamp using the PPP Party Friends coordinating dies and then on a piece of Gina K Blue Lagoon cardstock I white heat embossed a sentiment and party hat from the PPP Party Friends stamp set. Then, I used the PPP Stitched Notes die to die cut the background which was dry and also the sentiment and party hat. I adhered the background panel, sentiment and party hat to a card base and popped up the die cut stamp with foam tape. Lastly, I embellished with PPP Marigold Jewels.
