Pretty Pink Posh – March 2020 Release (2 cards)

Hi crafters! It’s time for a new release from Pretty Pink Posh! The themes this release are Baby, Spring, and Easter and I’m so excited to working with new color palettes! For my first couple of projects, I am sharing two baby-themed cards. Be sure to visit the Pretty Pink Posh store to check out the full release!

Baby

For this first card I used stamps from the PPP Baby stamp set and also used the PPP Baby Script die and the PPP Eyelet Borders die. To begin, I randomly stamped several of the smaller stamps from the set onto a sheet of 80# white cardstock using a Copic-friendly black ink and then colored.

Copic: Y00, Y21, Y26, Y32, Y26, BG10, BG11, BG13, B0000, B00, B02, R00, R20, R22, W3, W1, W0

After coloring the panel, I used the PPP Eyelet Borders die twice to create a background for my sentiment. I used Copic B00 to color a portion blue. I then used the PPP Baby Script die to cut three sentiments and one of them I colored with B02 and then adhered them together.

Lastly, I glued the sentiment to the eyelet strip and popped them up onto the panel using foam tape. After, I adhered the panel to a white card base.

Little One

For my second baby-theme card I used the PPP Little One stamp set and PPP Little One dies to stamp and die cut the sheep from the set and then colored with Copic markers. Next, I stamped butterflies from the new PPP Hedgehog Friends stamp set and die cut using the PPP Hedgehog Friends dies.

Copic: W5, W3, W1, R30, R32, R35

Next, I took a panel of 4.25 x 5.5 cardstock and used one of the PPP Eyelet Border dies on the left and right side of it. I then used Post-It tape to mask of a section to ink (I wanted to keep the eyelet white). Using SSS Mint, I lightly inked the background and then used the PPP Layered Clouds stencils on top of it with SSS Mint and SSS Mint Candy inks.

For the sentiments I used two. “It’s A Girl” is from the PPP Baby stamp set and “Congratulations” is from the PPP Little One stamp set. I stamped them onto pink cardstock.

I trimmed down a portrait card base enough so that the cardstock wouldn’t show through the eyelet and then adhered the eyelet background to the card base. To finish the card, I popped up the butterflies, sentiments, and sheep (lamb?) with foam tape and embellished with PPP Sparkling Clear Sequin mix.
