Simon Says Stamp – Leaves Stencils

Hi crafters. I hope everyone is well and maintaining their wits while we keep our distance. I thought I’d be crafting more this weekend, but I’ve been cooking and cleaning quite a bit. Emptied out a closet and have several bags for donation. I wish all of you and your families the very best during these anxious times. Be safe.

For today’s card I used a bunch of products from Simon Says Stamp. The star of the show is the SSS Leaves Stencil set from the Lucky To Know You Release.

To begin, I used a panel of Spring Moss cardstock from Papertrey Ink (note: their website was down at the time I created this post, so I cannot link the cardstock). Using several inks from Simon Says Stamp I ink blended using the SSS Leaves Stencil set with Goldenlocks, Catkin, Beanstalk Green, and Laurel Green. After this first round of inking, I used several Prismacolor pencils to enhance the leaves. The colors used were 1005, 988, 1094. To fill in some of the background behind the leaves, I used the stencils again and blended on top of the previously stenciled leaves using SSS Catkin ink. Next, without any stencils, I ink blended (lightly!) over all of the leaves using SSS Beanstalk Green.

Next, I stamped a sentiment from the SSS Say It All Friend stamp set using Versafine Onyx Black ink. I trimmed the panel down 3/8ths from the top and side and adhered to a white card base using a Kokuyo Long Dot Runner. To embellish, I used Chunky Glitter in Gold from Little Things From Lucy’s Cards.
