Happy Mother’s Day to everyone! Today, I’m sharing a card I made with the Simon Says Stamp Celebrating Mother’s Card kit. I only used the stamp set from the kit for this card, but there are many other products I can use for the future. I love this Mom’s Meadow stamp set because the florals are beautiful and the sentiments allow for so many more uses than just Mother’s Day.
So, this was my first time using Copic markers on colored cardstock. Overall, I enjoyed it and will have to try again with other colors.
For this card I began with a panel of Papertrey Ink cardstock in Lavender Moon. I used the large floral stamp on the top and bottom of the card using SSS Stone ink and colored with Copic markers (too many to list. If you want to know a specific color combo, just ask in the comments. I have them written down).
After coloring, I used Polychromos colored pencils to jazz them up a bit further and then a white gel pen for some pop. On a panel of Hero Arts Plum cardstock, I heat embossed the sentiment using Hero Arts Gold embossing powder (thanks for the Instagram help there. I couldn’t decide between gold or silver).
I trimmed down my colored background and adhered it to panel using the same Plum cardstock and adhered that to a white card base.
Enjoy your day and thanks for stopping by.
