Good morning, crafty folks! Today, I am sharing another card from the new Stacey Yacula and Purple Onion Designs Sunshine Lake release.
To begin, I stamped onto masking paper and cut out masks for all three stamps (ambitious task). When I work with rubber stamps, I tend to always have two versions of the same card going. The first version is to test my alignment and once I have things aligned onto the paper the way I want, I go ahead and stamp on what will be my final card. Of course using the Clear Mounting Stamp makes it super easy to use the MISTI.
After stamping, I colored with Copic markers:
- Water: B23, BG10, B000, B00, B91, B41
- Reds: R37, R17, R21, R30
- Greens: G24, G21, G20, G05, G07
- Gladys: YR27, E13, E11, E000
- Maverick: E77, E74, E71, E70, E40
- Miki: W3, W1, W0
After coloring, applied the mask for the mountains and inked a sky using Distress Oxide ink in Tumbled Glass. To finish up, I adhered my background to a 5×7 card base and used white acrylic paint and a dry paint brush to stamp the splash marks on the bottom of the boat and behind Gladys’ water skis. I adhered a sentiment from the Sunshiney Sentiments set.
That’s my card for today. Thanks for stopping by!
