Hello there crafters! Today is release day of the Crafty Hugs collection from Simon Says Stamp! I’m sharing a card I made using the Center Cut Hexagon Floral background stamp. It’s a red-rubber background stamp and the center hexagon pops out (though I kept it in for this card).
To begin, I cut a panel of Papertrey Ink cardstock in Limeade Ice and white heat embossed the stamp onto the panel.
Using several YG and Y Copic markers, I emphasized areas of the background to give it a bit of dimension.
Using Neenah Solar White 110# cardstock and Gina K Jelly Bean Green cardstock, I die cut the SSS Big Thanks set. This is probably my favorite Simon product and the only product I’ve used more than 3x. (Apologies as I just noticed at the time of writing this blog post that the die set was sold out on the SSS website. I definitely encourage you to sign up for restock notifications and grab this baby if you don’t have it already).
I cut a secondary sentiment from the SSS CZ Design Sentiment Strips – Reverse Love set (and, it’s in stock!). To finish the card, I adhered the stamped background panel onto a white card base and then glued the sentiments onto the card.
The Crafty Hugs release will be available Midnight on May 28, 2020 EDT. Be sure to check out the release and look for other design team creations using #SSSCraftyHugs on Instagram.
