Good morning, crafters! Today, I am sharing a one-layer card using many products from the Pretty Pink Posh catalog. (And yup, it’s another shameless Walter plug).
To begin, I cut masks from the stamps I would be using from the Pretty Pink Posh Playful Puppies, Tropical Birds, and Summer Surfboards stamp sets and then stamped onto a panel of Neenah Solar White 80# cardstock using the masks to prevent overlap. Next, I colored the stamps with Copic markers.
- Tree: YG67, YG25, YG23, YG21, E57, E55, E53, E51
- Surfboard: B0000, B000, B21, B23, B24
- Walter: W3, W1, W00, E15, BG02, BG000, C9, C5, C3, C1, R14
- Sand: E51, E53, E55, E57
From a sheet of masking paper I cut a sand dune by cutting the long strip of masking paper in half length-wise making sure it had a drop-off (dune). I applied the top portion of the cut mask to then color the sand dune with Copic (colors listed above), and then removed that mask and applied the other side of the mask to cover the sand dune.
I applied all of the masks to the stamps leaving everything color protected from ink blending. Using Altenew Persian Blue and Caribbean Sky inks, I lightly blended a sky behind the stamps moving diagonally up the card.
To finish up, I removed the masks and put the panel in the MISTI to stamp a sentiment. I chose one from the PPP Everyday Greetings stamp set. Lastly, I adhered the completed panel to a white card base and used a white gel pen to accentuate light.
