Reverse Confetti – July Blog Hop

Hi crafters! Today is the Reverse Confetti July release blog hop! Today, I’m sharing a fun “Happy Mail” card made using several of the new products set to release today. Make sure to check out the Reverse Confetti blog for details of the hop and for more inspiration.

For this card, I used the new Rain Or Shine stamp set, Cross Tiles Cover Panel, and Snail Mail stamp set. To begin, I randomly stamped the rainbow heart from the Rain Or Shine stamp set onto a sheet of Neenah Solar White 80# cardstock using Gina K Amalgam Ink in Obsidian and colored with Copic markers:

  • Reds: R24, R22, R21
  • Yellows: Y15, Y13, Y11
  • Greens: YG05, YG03, YG01
  • Grays: C3, C1. C0

After coloring, I stamped the same heart stamp twice onto a pad of full-stick Post-Its and cut out masks for hearts. Once the masks were applied, I used an ink blending brush and Gina K Sea Glass ink to create a blue background.

Next, I used the Cross Tiles Cover Panel cut from 80# cardstock to use as a stencil on the blue background. I used the same ink to just darken it a bit. After finishing that, I pulled off the masks and cut the panel down a bit.

On a scrap piece of Hero Arts Pitch Black cardstock, I white heat embossed a sentiment from the Snail Mail stamp set. I cut it down and adhered it to a slightly larger white piece of cardstock and used thin foam tape to adhere to the background panel. I then used more thin foam tape to adhere the panel to a white card base and I finished up by gluing some Sparkling Clear Sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.
