Pretty Pink Posh – Jungle Friends

Good morning, crafters! Today, I’m sharing a card featuring this adorable zebra from the Pretty Pink Posh Jungle Friends stamp set. I also used the coordinating dies, the Simple Sentiments stamp set, and the Medium Polka Dots stencil.

To begin, I stamped the zebra from the Jungle Friends stamp set onto a panel of Neenah Solar White #80 cardstock. I do find it slightly smoother than the 110#, so I use it whenever I pull out my Copics. After stamping the zebra, I stamped it again onto masking paper and cut out the little guy. On a new panel of Neenah I stamped some of the floral and leaf images from the set and then colored both with Copic markers:

  • Blacks: T9, T7, T5, T3, T1
  • Whites: W3, W1, W00
  • Reds: R22, R27, Y13
  • Greens: YG25, YG03, YG01

After coloring I used the coordinating dies to die cut the leaf and floral images. For the zebra panel I applied the mask and then used Post-It tape to mask off an inch from each side of the panel.

Using Fresh Pear, Grassy Knoll, and Key Lime from Pinkfresh Studio, I inked blended the background. I then grabbed the Medium Polka Dots stencil and used Key Lime to ink blend the dots on top of it.

Next, I removed the tape and adhered the panel to a white card base. Using the Simple Sentiments stamp set, I white heat embossed a sentiment on to black cardstock and used thin foam tape to adhere it to the card. To finish up, I used glue to adhere a couple of flowers and leaves to the card.

And so finishes another project using Pretty Pink Posh. I love how much whitespace there is on this card. Thanks for stopping by.
