They are SO CUTE!! I love Birdie Brown stamps. Today’s card features the Holiday Penguins stamp set from My Favorite Things.
To begin, I stamped the four penguins and Christmas tree onto masking paper, cut them out, and set aside. Next, I used the same stamps and the masks to create a one-layer scene on a panel of 4.25″ x 5.5″ white cardstock. Before removing the masks I used a die from the MFT Stitched Snow Drifts die set to die cut the snowy ground from masking paper. I then applied that mask on top of the others.
Next, I used Pinkfresh Studio inks in Mint and Meadow to ink the sky. Next, I flicked some white acrylic ink on top of the sky. I also mixed some Pinkfresh Studio Evergreen ink into the white acrylic ink and flicked that as well. I gave it a few minutes to dry and then pulled off all of the masks.
Next, I colored with Copic markers:
- Penguins – N6, N4, N2, N0, W3, W1, W0, YR24, YR15
- Reds – R59, R37, R14, R01
- Snow – YG41, B01, BG000, BG000
- Tree – G29, G16, G14, G12, E31, E34, E37
- Present – E44, E42, E41
To finish up, I white heat embossed a sentiment from the set (cut in half — first half on the front of the card and the second half inside of the card), and then I highlighted some areas with a white gel pen and adhered to a white card base.
I love this cute set. I wish I had made two of these cards. That’s it for today. See you next time!
